Fall Apple Breakfast Ideas
Fall is in the air, and my mind is on all things apple and pumpkin right now, you guys!
Including, but not limited to, healthy apple recipes.
While technically, there are still 12 more days till fall officially arrives, I’ve already decorated the house, filled it with fall scents, created a list of fall recipes to make, and am simply sitting back waiting for sweater weather!
If you are a lover of all things fall, including the flavors, as I am, these apple breakfast ideas are a great place to start!
3 Apple Breakfast Recipes
Creating a breakfast using fall produce is a great way to make breakfast more memorable all season long!
While I love to lean on pumpkin breakfast recipes all year long, apple breakfast treats tend to only make an appearance in our kitchen this time of year.
Check out the 3 apple recipes I’m most excited to add to my fall breakfast line-up!

Apple Cider Donuts
Donuts, please!
Nothing quite screams fall breakfast like apple cider donuts and coffee.
That said, donuts aren’t exactly the most healthy breakfast option around, and should best be enjoyed in moderation.
So, I will likely only make these sugary treats once (ok, maybe twice) this season.
Create something sugary and sweet with these health-conscious (but not necessarily healthy) apple donuts – via Liv’s Little Muffins.
These delicious round treats are made using apple cider, whole wheat flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, baking powder, baking soda, salt, egg, light brown sugar, butternut squash, oil, unsweetened oat milk, vanilla extract, butter, and granulated sugar.
While I try not to share too many recipes that call for sugar, it’s kind of hard to skip on a classic apple breakfast recipe like apple cider donuts (and any apple dessert recipe, really)!
That said, I chose this as a health-conscious option because it does call for less sugar than most apple cider donut recipes. Plus, you can easily lessen the sugar intake by leaning on sugar replacements or by simply using less!
This recipe also calls for the use of canola oil (something we strictly skip in our house), but since oil is an easy swap to make, I chose to keep this classic on the list!

Apple Pancakes
Say what?
Not sure why apple pancakes have never made my list of fall breakfast foods before, but they definitely will this year!
We make pumpkin pancakes in our home year-round, and while we never grow tired of them, this actually sounds ike a great way to mix things up.
The best part? These apple carrot pancakes – via Refresh My Health sound more than just health-conscious, and they are GLUTEN FREE, a huge win in my book!
These apple carrot pancakes are made using only 8 ingredients – eggs, apple, carrots, raw cacao powder, cinnamon, vanilla powder, coconut sugar, and butter — making them a great flourless option for those with food sensitivities!
As a huge pancake lover, this is one recipe I’m looking most forward to trying this fall, you guys!

Apple Oatmeal
Last, but not least, apple oatmeal!
Oatmeal is one of the easiest and best breakfasts to lean on during the fall and winter months, but it can get a little boring if you don’t mix things up from time to time.
I tend to go back and forth between cooking up regular stove-top oatmeal and slow-cooker oatmeal recipes in our home, so I’m definitely looking forward to adding overnight oats and baked oatmeal recipes to our fall line-up!
This baked apple oatmeal – via Maria Lucey Dietitian, will be one of the first ones to make my fall breakfast menu, you guys!
While it only calls for a handful of ingredients, such as milk, applesauce, eggs, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, oat flour, rolled oats, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, and apples, that isn’t even the best part!
This recipe is hearty and filling, plus I would definitely put it in the healthy apple breakfast column.
